Hello guys! What have you been up to? It has been like a week since I last posted the blog on the travel page. You can go check that out if you haven't already. It's been over a week since I flew back from Sydney. I have been recalling the memories I had in there literally every single day at least once in a day. I miss the life so much, but I also enjoy my life back home. It is so nice being back and I have been having quite a relaxing time so far just to try to recover myself from the journey stress. One of the things I miss the most about being away from Japan is not to be able to eat proper authentic Japanese food, so every meal I eat some japanese food and don't even give a shit about other stuff until I get fully satisfied with myself. I am a typical japanese boy who just keeps eating sushi and seafood! Now I feel like i have had a lot and ready to eat other Japanese food. I am literally like cramming them all the time. I hope I won't gain too much weight from this abnormal appetite. I guess it is not that important piece of information for you guys, so just ignore it. haha Well, today I will document about the cafe where I used to work at and also one of the best places I could possibly find in Sydney. Address: 206 Cleveland St, Chippendale NSW 2008, Australia I started this job in the beginning of January after I made through the trial. It is actually a cafe/bakery style and i was working as a kitchen hand until March. Therefore, I only got to work there for two months, but I was so fascinated by the lovely and so friendly colleagues and managers. It was such a great environment to work and I had an amazing time with them. It was quite sad leaving that job but i will definitely come back here when I have a chance.!! I love the fact that they serve the best coffee ever made by best baristas. My favourite was latte as always. I can order the different types of coffee you see in the other places, but I enjoy this coffee the most in my opinion. There are a wide range of menu in that cafe, too!! These are the food I got for my break. Of course I had other meals as well, but I didn't have photos and some of the meals above are not on the menu because they are purely for my treats. They also have the best chef ever as well as baristas! I always enjoyed the treats cooked my them. I basically want to put the pictures of the food. I think it's juts better show what they look like instead of describing with my words, then it would be hard to imagine the meal. So this ends up like a blog mostly consists of photos, but I hope you will enjoy this. I will see you in the new blog. Cheers!! Y

HI guys!! As I mentioned in the yesterday's blog, I came back here to continue my food blog! After I have left the job, now I have a lot of spare time to kill. I actually planned to meet some of the friends I met in Sydney, but most of them have their own things to do like Uni stuff and work. The more annoying this is that the weather in Sydney became horrible again, so it is kinda hard to get out to be honest. Today, I am writing about a cafe I popped into the other day. Address: 2/646 Harris St, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia This is actually one of the cafes that locates close to my flat, so I wanted to go and try the coffee for a long time. I finally made this happen when I had a day off and had nothing special to do. It was only few minutes walk from my place, so I can go there anytime and it's very convenient. I actually found this place when I was walking to the Market City which is a huge complex building right next to the China Town and it was on the way to there. I checked the rate on the app I use when I look for a cafe. And surprisingly, it has pretty high rate of 8.9 out of 10, so I had a nice feeling of the coffee they make. I like the way they allocate the table and chairs and nicely furnished. I mean I am not the designer or anything like that but I could feel very comfy and cozy environment from this place. Many customer brought their laptops and were doing their stuff which is one of the important elements to run a cafe I personally think. So did I!! I took my laptop, too , but I couldn't find a wifi, so I just ended up staying there for coffee even though it was really satisfying. They have nice range of food menu as well. I didn't eat any food that time, but i am pretty sure they make incredible food as well as coffee. Now the most curious part, what about the coffee they make?? Don't worry. They literally made me the best latte I have ever tasted just it was proved on the app. I am not gonna lie, this has been tastiest little latte. It couldn't think of any good words to describe this taste, but I have tasted quite a lot of latte in loads of places, but I really liked this one. It's just one of those things like you actually drink it and then judge, but i do have to admit that i am not a coffee critic. It is possible that this coffee can be not tasty for some people obviously. It is purely a matter of someone's preference. That is all for today guys!! If you are in Sydney or planning to visit here, it is definitely worth checking out this cafe. You will have a good time for sure. Thank you for taking your time and I hope to be back some time soon!! Cheers! Y Hey guys!! I am back after a week! How have you been doing recently? The weather in Sydney has been quite terrible last week and it was absolutely glorious yesterday and today, but it seems like it will be back to wet Sydney again. I left the job at the cafe last Friday and I have got only one week left until I leave this country. I have worked at there for about two months which seems to be quite a short period of the time, however i felt really sad on the last day. Anyways, let's try not to think about that. I don't wanna be anymore emotional. All I can say is I have had such an amazing time with them!! So move onto the main topic of the day!! It was a couple of weeks ago that I went to a little district called 'Spice Alley'. The first time when I went there was actually back in few months, so I already knew what the place is like and since the first visit, I have been there to grab some good food every two weeks!! The place is a little bit hidden but as soon as you spotted that area, there is a long alley with full of different types of asian cuisines!! You can find of course Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Malaysian, Indian and stuff. Address: 7 Kensington St, Chippendale NSW 2008, Australia You have to follow this small sign to get to that location. It is kind of subtle sign, so you might miss this, but you can always check the exact location with the Google Maps anyway. lol After you walk through a narrow path, what you can see is a great vibe, people enjoying the food and most importantly, bunch of asian food stalls all the way from the entrance to the end. It almost looks like an outdoor food court. Every single one of the food stand gives off great smell and you just stop by each shop and make you even harder to make a decision of what to go for. It's a very small area but it is full of people most of the time and you might find it difficult to grab a seat. The last time I was at there, I went for the thai food and I had fried rice noodles which was absolutely incredible. In fact, I went back there to eat exactly the same meal again! haha This time however, I wanted to try something different even though there was one side of me craving for the same food! I better be more adventurous and challenge another thing!! I dropped by a Malaysian stall and went for Malaysian food! There are some good food and Nasi-Goreng looks so tempting, so I couldn't resist not to order. My friend had other thing which I can't remember how it was pronounced. It also looks so nice tho!! The Nasi-Goreng was so tasty, I haven't properly tried to eat it although I have heard it was good. It was indeed much better than I expected and you can actually add some sweet chili sauce so you can spice up the taste a bit. If you are in Sydney, you should definitely check out this place although most of you already know the place. The great thing about it is you can come back an try new place and someday you will complete all the stalls and are gonna discover your absolute favourite one!!! It might be a nice idea to bring yourself sometime just for the lunch or dinner. You will surely enjoy no matter which shop you pick up. Thank you for your time and i might see you soon from another food blog ;) Cheers! Y H!!i guys! It's me Yuta! I'm writing another cafe blog today. It'e getting my favorite thing to do when I have a time. By the way, Just to let you guys all know that sadly I am going to fly back to Japan in two weeks. It just really sucks that I will leave this country quite soon and I have had such an amazing time with so many people and I got to experience loads of things that I never expect to be happening. I don't really wanna get emotional or rubble around on here, so I just wanted to announce my update. It was just a couple weeks ago, I had a four days off for some reason, so I went to a cafe nearby my flat that I have always wanted to visit for a while with a flatmate. Actually I didn't plan to go and the cafe was one the way form the shopping centre to my place, It was last minute decision and popped in the cafe. Adress: 1-3 Small St, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia This cafe was recently established and overtime I walk past to go to the Broadway Shopping Centre, the smell of coffee coming out of the shop really tempted to drag myself in. Then finally I was beaten that pleasant smell, so I decided to go in there and have a coffee. I mean I was planning to visit there at some point soon anyway.lol It was looking quite new and fresh everything is really well-organized as it's a brand new shop. It was really stylish and kind of old classic construction. It's really spacious and and has a really comfortable atmosphere. They have some meal and alcohol menu as well but we stayed there purely for the purpose of the coffee, so I have no idea about their food. I had a latte as always because that is pretty much what i can drink and my favourite one. My friend had an cappuccino. The latte looks incredible and it tasted really nice and creamy too. I am not an expert of coffee, so I don't really know to explain this flavour, but it was tasty. I had a relaxing day off that I finally got to visit here and had a coffee. I would like to visit as many cafes I can whilst I'm here. I have actually got another cafe hopping blog to post, so I will upload that one some time soon too!! I hope you will be happy to see that one as well. Thanks for your time and I will see you all in another blog!! Bye! Y |
