Hi mates!! As i promised yesterday, I am doing this cafe blog again! My life in Brighton has been okay so far, I feel like I gotta be a bit more active and join events or meet ups and stuff more often so I get to meet more new people! Because i have been kind lazy in the past few days, I will more active once I settle down in a new flat and start looking for a job! Well, last Saturday me and my friend Joee went to Oxford for a day trip to see what it's like! There were couples of options, but I wanted to go back to Oxford so much, so we visited there to explore the city!! He drove up to the car park near Oxford and switched to a bus to the city centre. It was about 40 mins journey in total if I remember correctly. It wasn't too far! As soon as we arrived, both of us wanted coffee so bad, so we basically were walking around and popped into a fancy cafe. Address: 105 High St, Oxford, OX1 4BW, UK The coffee shop is called 'Jericho coffee trade'. I actually don' t know what jericho means tho. We found this place when we were randomly walking around the high street, As you can see the picture above, this is basically all the seats they have. Plus there are some counter seats, but I would say it is a quite small cafe. This is the cafe mostly for take aways and short stay type of thing if that makes sense. I mean you can obviously spend relaxing and comfy time tho. It's like the customers constantly change and people just come in and get some coffee for take away! Whereas some people stay in the shop, but they only spend for a short time, but it seemed to me the shop itself was relatively busy! It is in a perfect location, not very difficult to find. I was in the mood of latte on that day, so I had it. It was an excellent latte! That was the kind of the latte I wanted to drink. Since we both needed some coffee, it tasted even better I guess. I finished it very quickly as you might be able to imagine! The latte art looks incredible, very friendly and kind baristas, easy to talk to them! He had Americano as usual. that's what he always like to drink. We spent for like half an hour drinking coffee having a chat and planning some stuff after . It was after all a great coffee shop! If yo have a chance to visit Oxford, you should definitely check that out! It is worth going!! That's everything for today's cafe blog I guess!! Thanks for your time and see you guys around soon!! Cheers!! Y

Hi guys!! I haven't seen you all since yesterday!! I missed you! lol Just ignore my bring way to kick off this today's blog!! I promise the content will be way more fun stuff, so please do not leave the page now!haha Well, it was a few days ago that I visited this place. How I decided to go this town tho.. It was actually from my friend Joee's recommendation. On that day I was gonna go visit London again as usual because that's what the normal tourist would do, but since I have travelled London several times. So I kinda wanted to travel somewhere else for the change, then I might meet some new experience in a new place!! The town I went to was called 'Reading' which took me roughly an hour by bus journey. It was a bit cloudy when I arrived and after a couple hours, started raining, in the end I didn't get to stay there that long, but at least I have done what I wanted to do there which is another cafe hopping. Address: 53 St Mary's Butts, Reading, RG1 2LG, UK This is the appearance of the coffee shop and it is called 'C.U.P (Coffee Under Pressure). The shop is located in a little area where is was a slightly off the main street, so it could be little hard to find this shop. Even though it was in a hidden location, it was still popular and lots of customers visited and enjoyed the drinks. Thats the one of the proofs that they make you good coffee. They have some sweets and cakes other food too. I didn't they tho. Maybe next time I would like to try wifi i am hungry. haha I went for a cappuccino this time! Sometimes it is just nice to drink different coffee you get to enjoy different flavour, too. I am one of those people who always have latte instead of other drinks, but I enjoyed cappuccino a lot! It found that the taste rather bitter compared to latte. I haven' had any cappuccino in such a long time, so it was very hard to tell the difference tho! Some people even think like what are they different? haha. I was also quite impressed with the latte art that the barista did! It was really amazing work and it looked like a swan shape i would say! Again, this is one of the latte arts I would like to be able to make. As for the inside of the shop, it was very relaxing and nice and quiet. It also has great atmosphere! Overall, i got to have some comfortable time in the cafe. More than anything, I loved this town itself. I nearly considered myself living this place. So if anyone has a chance to visit England specially London, don't forget that there is lot more places you should travel like this town!! You might experience something better than some typical touristy spots!! Thanks for taking your time to ready this.! Hope you enjoyed another cafe blog! I might see you guys around soon, so keep your eyes on it ;) Cheers!! Y Hi guys!! What have you been up to recently? To keep you guys updated, I actually arrived in Brighton yesterday finally which I have always been excited to go to! I left my friends house in West London after I've stayed there for a week. It was so much fun seeing my friend again and hanging out and spending some time! At the moment I am staying in a hostel right nearby the Brighton Pier, so the view from my room is pretty impressive except for the room is a bit smelly.. lol So it was already a week ago believe or not, that I went to this cafe! It was actually on my third day in England. Even though I was a bit struggling with the jet lag still, I decided to drag myself out to Central London to do some touristy things. So, I first went to a post office in King's Cross to get my BRP and after that, I was on my way to British Museum and then I found this cafe and it looked really amazing. Address: 72 Russell Square, Bloomsbury, London, WC1B 5BA, UK What I felt with this coffee shop when I entered is that it was really calm and relaxing. I guess it from the way they use the colour in decoration and furnishing style are very considerate to customers. I can feel that they are offering comfortable time with delicious drinks. When I was there, it was not really busy because it was in the middle of breakfast and lunch time. Maybe that is why I felt more relaxed than usual. lol People who work at there were really kind and chatty they were very welcoming as well!! but not too noisy because sometimes you could get distracted by them if they were extremely chatty. haha! So this is the latte I had in that coffee shop.( The picture above.) It looks really difficult to make this art. In fact I have never seen this latte art in my life before. It is really cool and very impressive skill. I would like to try this one someday! About the taste, I really liked that! It was really good and in my opinion, I prefer this latte to the one I introduced on the other blog. With this one the bitterness stays pretty much the same even after the temperature gets lower. Because sometimes, if the coffee gets colder, the taste and flavour will be little bit acid which I don't really like. This is about it!! I hope you enjoyed this another cafe blog. I have still got some contents to put up, so make sure you stay tuned! Cheers!! Y Hi guys!! It has been a while since the last blog from this page. I just want to inform of you guys of my updates and guess where I am now! Maybe you could guess from the blog title though. I am now in the UK and actually arrived almost a week ago!! It was really really long journey to finally land in this country, in fact, it took me 30 hours with two transfers (includes, Hong Kong and Dubai). When I got here, my body was mess up and legs were dead, but kindly my friend picked me up at the airport and gave me a lift to his house!! What I have been dong this week basically is that I just travel lots of famous tourist places and at the same time. I didn't forget to visit cafes too! I have already visited several coffee shops in the past few days!! And this is the very first cafe I went to on my second day here. Address: The Market House, High Street, Uxbridge UB8 1JN, UK The reason why I came to visit this cafe more specifically this whole town is kind of a long story! It is complicated, so I am not gonna tell you. However, I am pretty happy now after what happened to me on that day and i had no regret that i ended up spontaneously staying in this such a lovely town. People there are very nice and kind and really easy to talk to. In fact, I had a chat with a random person for half an hour in this cafe! It was a lot of fun as well!! So this is what the cafe looks like by the way guys! I really like the way they set up chairs and tables couches. It was really cool, modern and stylish cafe! I had a latte there and this is the picture of it! As for the taste, it was fine for me, but you know each people has their own preference with the flavour. And with this one it was not the kind of latte i normally find it tasty, I mean some people will certainly love it and I did enjoy it. It's got some kinda of fruity flavour in it that made the drink a bit acid as far as I remember, but maybe if other people drink this, they could have different opinions, so it is not 100% true about what my tongue felt like. They also have some desserts and stuff which is obviously normal in cafes. I didn't try any of them at that time, but I will be very keen to try some next time because i think some sweets will be a good combination with the latte I had. I swear to god that I didn't expect to visit this town at all, but sometimes you juts gotta live your like and gotta deal with some unexpected events, you will enjoy and feel very satisfied in the end. So this is my first cafe blog in the UK, i promise you i will put up another cafe hopping blog soon!! So keep your eyes on it! Stay tuned to this blog guys! lol Cheers!! Y Hi guys!! Look who is back and what i am doing now!! Im quite excited to be back doing this cafe hopping blog here again!! I have been to any good cafes in japan these days apart from the fact that I go to Starbucks every now and then. Yes i like the coffee at starbucks and where I live, form what I know there are only starbucks where I can get coffee, latte and stuff. However, sometimes when I visit Tokyo, I look for a chance to go to an independent coffee shop, so I get to know more about different coffee. So I found this shop at Ikebukuro in Tokyo just before I met my friend for a catch up, I had a couple hours to kill. Address: 2 Chome-26-3 Minamiikebukuro, Toshiba-ku, Tokyo, 171-0022 My first impression I have to this cafe is really fancy and a relaxing atmosphere. They also sell some different types of their own coffee beans and coffee equipments like coffee press, glass dripper and stuff. Apparently this cafe's selling point is that customers get to try different espresso and compare. I just simply had Latte, so I didn't try that one tho. It was a two stories building and on the ground floor there's a long counter seats against the wall. Then as for the upstairs, there are some comfy couch seats and some chairs and tables It was located in a sort of hidden place, so it was hard to spot. I ordered a hot latte as usual and it was interesting because the staff asked me which espresso beans I wanna drink with. At that time, I had two choices from different regions. The one is from Brazil and the feature of the beans is bitterness. The another one is one Ethiopia and famous for its fruity flavour according to the barista. I ended up picking up the latter one which i don't normally go for. I kinda felt like testing how the latte tastes like with a fruity espresso beans. I could actually understand what the barista described to me, it indeed had the flavour of fruit. It was weird, but as the same time, it was a new experience for me. I liked the idea of letting customers choose their favourite flavour of the espresso coffee beans, so they will enjoy more. When I was drinking my latte half way through, I swirled my cup and stupidly spilt my bloody coffee on my brand new T-shirt I bought the previous day!! I was so pissed off with myself and also embarrassed myself in front of other customers! It was lucky enough that I had a spare Tee to change. But still it was so annoying even though it was all my fault! lol Here is the picture of the latte I had and also I spilt this one! lol The barista had his own routine when making coffee which I found a bit funny, but as long as the taste is good, it was even! The latte art was very impressive and ideal for me. I hope i will get this good someday!! There we go guys!! It has been a while since the last cafe blog, I am glad I got the topic to put on this time!! And just to inform you all of my recent event, I will go back to England in two days, so I am pretty sure there is gonna be more contents to put up in the near future!! SO keep your EYES on it!! Thanks for reading and see you soon!! Cheers!! Y |
