Hi everyone! I am back in Japan now after the longest but the most amazing 2 years in the UK!! It's been mostly about coffee, coffee and coffee for me!! So, in the last post i was writing about the Alchemy coffee roaster which was the 3rd spot of the day in London when I went there for coffee trip. The one I am introducing is the 4th and very last one for that day!! It is called 'Kaffeine'.!! Again, it is located in the central of London and more towards the Hyde park area. This coffee shop actually has 2 locations and another is situated fairly close to this shop I visited, It is like 5 mins or so walk from this one. Although this is not the large and spacious shop, the space is nicely used and beautifully furnitured. A couple of big tables outside as well, really good for drinking coffees in a day like this day! They provide wifi useful for laptop work. I wasn't sure if there were power plugs. The food was displayed in an attractive way. It's got some pastries and sweets and cakes which always work good with coffees. I was overly caffeinated on this stop as this was my 4th shop of the day. However, i still wanted to try their coffee, so I ordered a flat white!! There it is! They were pulling some amazing shots, pairing their espresso machine and grinder with Victoria Arduino. The milk was so smooth and amazing texture, beautiful latte art as well! I quite like their china cup and sauce!! They look so cute!! Even though it was too much coffee, it still tasted great!!! Anyway, This is the last coffee blog post from London as I am back in Tokyo hopefully for the time being, i would like to visit specialty coffee shops in Japan and will share as many of them as possible. So you better all stay tuned to this!!! Cheers! Y

Hi everyone!! I am doing another coffee shop post when I went to London last week! I have got time to do it today, I will share my third coffee stop with you all!!! I am gonna skip the second one as I have already mentioned on this page. It was called 'Association Coffee' just in case. haha It is not because its not worth of mentioning on here!! I already had two flat whites before i visited this coffee shop, I was slightly caffeinated by then, But I was committed to complete the task, so after we had a lunch at a Japanese canteen type of place. Here is my third coffee stop!! It's called 'Alchemy Coffee roaster'. It is located in the heart of busy central London, but slightly off the main big street. It was little bit hard to spot this place, but it is on the corner of small street. They have their own roasters and roasted the coffee to the shop to serve. It's got all the typical espresso based drinks and also they have a little pourer station next to espresso! As it was a warm day, I wanted to try their cold brew, so I went for that!!! Check out this beautiful colour of this coffee!! Even when I look it this now, makes me want one again!! It was super fruity and smooth, quite sweet! But after I finished that one, I was super high and my head was like floating in the air! My hands were proper shaking as well. It was such a delicious coffee tho!! If I wasn't highly screwed with caffeine, I would have had an flat white or sth as well!!! haha I would highly recommend checking this place out!!! Anyway, I will hopefully come back on here with another post soon!! Cheers!! Y The other day, I had a day off, so I decided to go to London for more coffee trip! The weather was nice and warm and absolutely glorious. I couldn't ask for more for this possibly the last visit to London with this journey. The night before, I checked some of the specialty coffee shops i wanted to visit, I made a list. I am gonna put the first one up that I went. It was in the central part of London just off the Blackfriars station. I got off the station and walked to the shop it took me only roughly 5 mins to get there! It was located at the corner on the very street surrounded by loads of high rises. Address : 78 Queen Victoria Street, London, EC4N 4SJ, UK Instagram : www.instagram.com/rosslyncoffee/ Website : www.rosslyncoffee.com Although we went in around 11 am, slightly before lunch time, it was full of customers and literally no space whatsoever to seat!! Loads of working professionals were out office and grabbing coffees from there as soon as I spotted, the number of customers proved how good the coffee is. Very attractive, entrance from outside and you can see inside from outside when you walk past. It was a nice sunny day, so it was bringing the sunlight into the shop and looked extra nice!! Endless queue, constantly baristas making coffees, Staffs are friendly. They only had chocolate brownies, some pastries, it really shows the focus on quality coffee. They also had sparkling water tap as well as still water, I obviously went for sparking water as not many coffee shops have one even the popular ones. They use La Marzocco new espresso machine KB60, it was my first time seeing it in my eyes, I got a bit excited, It looks so beautiful, I wish I could pull some shots with that at work! Just was admiring loads! haha They offer espresso, filter beverages, also cold brew as well which I was tempted to try! but I ordered flat white. It was a standard order to find the coffee they make. Such an well-presented flat white!! with a little cute wooden tea spoon! Sunlight makes the latte art look even more beautiful! Of course it was an amazing cup of flat white. Perfectly steamed milk very silky smooth mouthfeel. I made the right choice to come here as my first stop!! My coffee trip kicked off really good!! I am sure lots of coffee enthusiasts must have already checked out this shop, but if anyone hasn't, highly recommended place! It was quite a peak time when I was there, but absolutely worth a wait!! Then I moved onto the coffee stop no,2 after this, to be continued... Cheers! Y I am sat in one of the favourite coffee shops in Brighton, I opened my laptop and am about to write a new coffee shop I have visited during my holiday in Marseille. Once again, it has been a while since the last post, mostly because I haven't really had a chance to go to a new coffee shop. It happened already a couple weeks ago, but I booked a holiday with my mates to Marseille. We stayed there for few nights, did loads of activities it was so much fun and one of the best holiday I have ever had. And one thing i always do when on holiday is to discover the specialty coffee scenes. I did a bit of research before I went to Marseille, but in terms of specialty coffee, there weren't that many. to be honest. However, I did find one really nice coffee shop in there. So I thought I would share with you guys in case you are curious. This is one called ' Deep Coffee Roaster' . Address: 15 Rue Glandeves, 13001 Marseille, France Instagram : www.instagram.com/deepcoffeeroasters/ Website : www.deep.coffee/ We got to the airport and headed straight to our Airbnb, quickly dropped our stuff and get changed, It was around lunch time then, so we walked into town to do a bit of exploring around town, but I was in the need of coffee, so I dragged the guys into the shop for a caffeine fix. This one is located in the centre of the city and not very difficult to spot. Obviously it was our first time wandering around the city, there was a bit of struggle to get to this point. It has got a nice outside bench with a couple tables and seats along the pavement. And the first thing that caught my attention is this beautiful coffee menu. It is kinda photogenic spot. lol The shop is really small but cozy size and very opened space. Great espresso bar set up. La marzocco and Victoria Arduino Grinder. ![]() All the imported green beans stacked up on the side of roaster. This place is a roaster as well as an espresso bar, so they roast coffees to supply other shops as well. It is cool that you get to see the roast machine right in the shop although i don't know yet much of a roasting process. I went for a cold brew as it was quite hot there, I wanted something cold. I completely forgot the origin, process and that info. It had a great sweetness, smooth really balanced body, not much of a acidity. Highly recommended choice in the heat. The barista there was so friendly and was up for a bit of chat and really had a good time there. In fact, i came back to this place on our final day to have another coffee before leaving. If you ever had an opportunity to visit marseille on holiday, and struggle to find a good coffee, you should definitely check this place out!! This is the only coffee shop I would put up from Marseille. Hopefully I will get to go to another new coffee shop and come back here to share more. Cheers!! Y What's up everyone?!! How are you doing ? I am back here again, this time after a fairly a short gap. The reason is I would like o put this post out so bad!! As it is gonna be one of my absolute favourite coffee spot in the world!!! So basically, I have come across this coffee shop from my friend ad he is such a proper coffee connoisseurs. I could trust his coffee choice 100%, even though it was in London, I was happy to take the train to go there just for a goof cup of coffee! lol I went to london on my day off with my friends, up early to busy Capital to find a great coffee. There we finally are! Took us good old couple of hours to arrive. It is the coffee shop called ' Omotesando Koffee' ! Address : Fitzrovia, London, W1J 5EZ, UK Website ; ooo-koffee.com Instagram : www.instagram.com/omotesando.koffee/?hl=en As i said, it is situated in the centre of London in one of the busiest area. It is close to Oxford street where all the first retail clothes shops are lined up, It is a bit off the main street, on the ground floor of that huge building, you will see this really beautiful looking shop. I was like this is it when I was standing outside the shop! haha One of the shops i have been dying to visit since I became a coffee snob. I finally made it there with friends!! I got quite excited for a moment! As soon as we got in, it blew my mind and really great atmosphere, super simple. One of the reasons I like about that place is its minimalism, Minimising things that is not necessary or unattractive to the customers, only keep necessary things for the shop. It makes the whole place so attractive, and clean. It definitely creates the professional work place, literally their workspace is operated in a little square surrounded by the quite sophisticated wood, Interestingly, they divide the till are and coffee work area completely, so you order your drinks at the counter, and you will receive the tickets to hand into the baristas, instead of their receiving the tickets through the machine. The staff on the counter will take you through what coffee is available with proper knowledge, so it seems to be complicated, but it is not as it sounds. They basically only have few selections of sweets, but like they only one of each choices out as display. It apparently used to be only the little square sweets available, but now it seems that they are doing a bit more stuff. They basically have espresso-based coffee, pourover coffee, matcha latte, mocha, etc, You get to choose the beans from couple of options, their house blend and single origins. I went for their hand-drip coffee with El salvador single origin, It caught my interest. My friends chose the other single origin pour over. It didn't disappoint me at all! The quality of coffee was just exceptional!! Very clean, smooth, balanced acidity, hard to describe!! They gave us a simple of the other single origin, it was also really beautiful!! It was quite generous of them!!! That was such a satisfaction that I finally got to visit the dreamiest coffee shop! I would love to come back for more coffee, but something different next time!! I went to another coffee shop on that day, If I remember, i will try to upload that one as well! Highly recommended one! definitely check out!! Cheers! Y |
